In another thread (<http://forum.parallels.com/thread11477.html>), two different locations were mentioned where VM directories might be installed: ~/Library/Parallels and ~/Documents/Parallels. Is there any functional reason to prefer one location over the other? Thank you, David
when using a mac use the defaults as far as possible dont meddle with the OS unless you are a developer or advanced hacker Hugh W
The reason I asked my original question was that I have seen others mention that the VM directories are located by default in ~/Documents/Parallels but mine are located in ~/Library/Parallels. I do not think I did anything special to put them there, though, so I assume it was the default installation and wondered why others had their VMs in another location and whether this was somehow functionally different. there are user libraries and application libraries when you create shared folders you go in (browse) via your own user name on the macintosh HD to gte to the desktop folder for example Hugh W
