Live VM Backup

    Sorry if this has been posted before, but what are the options for a live Parallels Desktop VM backup.

    If Time Machine runs, while the VM is online, is this a good method of backing up. Is there any third party software that can output a bootable VM?

    What are the best practices for this type of scenario?
