This post (http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=113540) talks about the situation where a Lion VM running in a Lion host will freeze after the host wakes from sleep. I have exactly the opposite problem. The guest system crashes/freezes if the GUEST is suspended from the host via the Parallels "Virtual Machine" menu. I can put my host machine to sleep and wake it without negatively impacting the guest Lion VM just as long as I don't suspend. So, in brief, "suspend" crashes the guest machine. More accurately, it freezes it, because CPU usage on the host spikes and stays spiked. I'm running Parallels 7.0.15104 which I believe is the latest version. Has anyone run into this issue and found a solution?
While I haven't experienced either of those problems, I've simply set the energy saver settings on host and guests to never sleep, and never go to screen saver. Which is fine for a headless mac-mini... probably not too helpful to you if you have a laptop...
