I'm successfully using build 1970 with Fedora Core 5 as a guest on a Mac Book Pro Core 2 Duo. However, whenever I resume after suspending the Mac with the FC5 VM running, the FC5 VM does not respond. Likewise, if I suspend and resume just the FC5 VM, it does not respond. I can work around this by hibernating FC5 (running the command pm-hibernate), then switching off and on the VM, but if I forget to do this before suspending the Mac, my FC5 VM is toast! Is this a known problem? And even better, is there a known fix?
I have the same problem with Fedore Core 6 as a guest on a iMac Core 2 Duo with build 1970. Although, I don't get this problem with Red Hat Linux 9 as a guest.
2.4 good / 2.6 bad? I have similar problems with the 3188 build. Fedora Core 6, Ubuntu 7.04 and recent Puppy all hang upon suspend / resume. Mandrake 9.2 and Damn Small Linux all suspend / resume happily. It may not be a co-incidence that the two that behave well use 2.4 kernels, while the three that misbehave use 2.6.
