    Hey all,

having a small problem with a linux install on the newest release of PD.

The version of linux is slackware 10.2, which i know is not supported, but the problem seems to be with my ignorance in parallels, not slackware itself.

When i am running the install, everything goes great all the way through, with the exception of the bootloader. Lilo fails to install with an obscure message no matter what install option i choose for it, which would be fine with me because on my dual boot desktop system, i dont use lilo anyway.

What im going for here is to instead create the boot floppy slackware offers, using the blank floppy image that i have successfully created in the VM's hardware options. Problem is that even tho the .fdd file exists, and has correct permissions on it for my user account and privs, slackware still errors with something like "invalid file type or bad media".

I was just wondering if anyone has accomplished this, or has any thoughts on why slack would have a problem using the .fdd.

I assume that parallels marks its FD as /dev/fd0 which is the default in the slack install, but i dont know.

    Any help appreciated.
