    Hi,

    I'm facing an issue where my XP is saying I have limited or no connectivity and it won't connect to the internet. I am using Shared Networking, and oddly, this just started happening. I was able to connect to the internet just fine a couple of hours ago. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on parallels build 3120.

    Thanks!

    Something similar happened to me.

    What worked in my case was to shut down the VM, repair the disk permissions (use the Disk Utility in OS/X). Then reboot the Mac.

    Make sure you have the right configuration of internet protocol TCP-IP properties

    --->obtain an IP adress automatically
    ---> obtain DNS server adress automatically

    I just started having this problem today, so it happened shortly after applying an OS X update (from Apple) ostensibly for battery improvements on my MacBook Pro. :(

    Repairing disk permissions and rebooting did not help.

    TCP/IP properties, of course, never changed (and besides, it worked before today).

    Clues welcome. I obviously can't roll back the battery improvement patch! It's also possible that the patch is a red herring and something else is amiss. Don't know what though ...

    [UPDATE - A THIRD REBOOT of the MacBook pro and now all's well. Will keep an eye on it, but nothing else was changed other than the reboot.]
