Parallels Mac Bug Report under Leopard After upgrading to Leopard, when attempting to open up Word 2007 documents (windows version) in XP Professional running in Parallels Mac 3.0 (Build 5160), it takes a huge amount of time to open a document (1 minute or more, and it often crashes). Reinstalling Office 2007 did not fix it. I found out the problem- when the word document would be attempting to open up it says Connecting to Printer, press Esq. to cancel. I found out that to make this go away and for word docs to open immediately under Leopard using Parallels I have to uninstall Bonjours. Then it all works fine. This raises another problem- how will I be able to print now without Bonjours?
I am using Office 2007 with Bonjour printers and Leopard and all works well. Maybe yours will work if you reinstall the printer with Bonjour? IMac 2gb with Windows XP V 5540 Parallels.
Actually, if I change the printer setting from Lexmark (which had worked all along until Leopard) to generic in Bonjour it now eliminates the problem.
