All, I'm running Parallels on new MacBook Pro 10.9.2 with Win 7. Migrated QB and successfully used for a week, including payroll functions. Now QB will not stay open? After the initial click-to-open (on icon or rt-click-scroll-to-open) ----ever-so-briefly (a nano second) I see the QB logo and start-up screen then it closes immediately. Is there a start-up/shut-down feature I could have clicked' during some inadvertent key-stroke??

Is it the QB, Parallels or Win 7?

    Thanks much. Dave

This could be a quickbooks issue. Are you using it in coherence mode? Here is a link to the intuit site with several solutions that can solve this. I have had this happen to my customers under a plain windows environment. http://dataservices.intuit.com/support/Articles/SLN43485

Mike, Many Thanks, It worked through the "Task Manager," solution #4, close but not exactly as described on this Intuit list.

I used their: Use the Windows Task Manager utility ----to end an unresponsive program. "Use the Windows Close Program or Task Manager utility to safely quit the unresponsive program." Same utility to find which programs are currently running on your computer.

On your keyboard, find Task Manager.
Click the Task List, Task Manager, or Start Task Manager button.

Select the Applications tab. (BTW, this did not show the QB program but the next tab did) This tab displays a list of all programs that are currently running.

Quit the program by selecting it from the list and then clicking the End Task button.
Click the Close (X) button in the upper right corner to close the Task Manager window.

    Mike, This worked, thank you.
