I downloaded a live CD of a Brazilian distro, named Kurumin, based on Knoppix. The live CD boots wonderfully under an "Other Linux" VM and I am able to install Linux based on this live CD to my workstation hard disk. The disk correctly shows all the Linux directories and files needed to work properly.

But when I try to boot my VM from the HD it halts just after the Parallels' BIOS messages that reports the installed memory. How can it be that a system works from a live CD but will not boot from HD?

Make sure that your boot sequence in VM configuration starts with "Hard disk".

    Boot sequence is OK

The boot sequence is OK, HD first, but it doesn't work. I forgot to mention that it's installed on a MacBook Pro 2 GHz with 1 Gb RAM.

And your version of Paralells is Beta4?
