Is it possible to make use of a USB to serial adapter for the serial port adapter inside of parallels? If so, any quick guide on how to do it? Thanks! John P.

Support for USB (and thus, things that use USB, like USB <-> serial adapters) will be added before the final release, as has been stated numerous times by Parallels staff.
