Hi, i have got parallels 3.0 build 5160 under OSX 10.5 (Leopard); the keyboard map in totally wrong; not with the standard keys, but the symbols use type with the shift...; for example if I want to do these brackets () I have to shift+9 for ( and shift+0 for )...; the other symbol too doesn't work. Bye, Marco.
The Dutch keyboard (Azerty) remap does not work good also, the "@" key does not work, i must press "Alt+2" for the "@", like i Windowskeyboard... :-(
I use the danish layout in Win Xp sp2 and Mac OS 10.4.10 without problems USB or PS2 with an adapter Dell or Apple or Microsoft external keyboards on a Mac Book Pro if I need an odd charcacter I often just copy paste it from a web page eg Fußball Hugh W
Hello, WimDS, you'll find Microsoft Layout Manager with Google's help. The program is provided with detailed instructions. Good luck. Best regards, Xenos
Hmm, all 'things" are good but no standardsupport for the "@" key in Be-NL Latin keyboard... i must press Alt+F2!
WimDS, if you have Dutch (Belgian) layout, you have to press Alt Gr + 2 to get @. Or CTRL + ALT instead Alt Gr on MacBook and MacBook Pro. Also you can do the following: 1. In the Mac top bar, click "Parallels Desktop->Preferences", choose "Keyboard" tab. Check "Translate from AltGr to NumEnter" option. 2. Then try to use the Enter key to the left from cursors keys instead of AltGr. Best regards, Xenos
Hi Xenos, thx 4 your reply/help. Can't Parallels build support (out of the box) for those things, please?
WimDS could you specify, what do you mean by "out of the box" support in this case? I'm sorry I can't get it now. Would you like Parallels to convert Belgian layout into English layout? Thank you for clarifying your wish. Best regards, Xenos
The '@' key works when i press the '@'button in OS X http://myskitch.com/wimpus/keyb-20071122-170148.jpg I don't need to configure something, but in Parallels the '@' key does not work...
WimDS, thank you for the answer. Our engineers will try to work it out in three days. We'd appreciate if you help us to test the workaround that we hope to get. Best regards, Xenos
No Xenos, thank you for helping me! I hope 'you' can fix it, i'll test it as soon as it's coms out Thx again.
Hello WimDS, Here is a workaround to try. 1) insert DVD with Leopard or Drivers for Bootcamp in your Mac; 2) open My Computer, right-click the Boot Camp DVD and choose Open; 3) open Drivers folder -> Apple and start Bootcamp installation; 4) when Bootcamp is installed, restart Windows 5) click Start -> Control Panel, open Regional and Language Options -> Languages tab 6) click Details -> Add, then choose Input language and Keyboard layout you need. Please let me know if you get the expected result. Best regards, Xenos
Hi Xenos, thx 4 the help but BC does not want to install :-( http://myskitch.com/wimpus/bootcamp-20071130-154208.jpg Btw: http://myskitch.com/wimpus/landinstellingen-20071130-155018.jpg isn't good?
Hello WimDS, You should install Boot Camp drivers to get Belgian (Apple) layout. To fix the issue with Boot Camp drivers refusing to install please delete all files in Temp folder (C:\WINDOWS\Temp) and run Parallels Compressor (Parallels Desktop menu bar - Actions - Run Parallels Compressor). Before running Compressor please read the Guide. Best regards, Xenos
WimDS, thank you for the feedback. We are going on investigating the issue. Will keep you informed. Best regards, Xenos
Wow, Keyboard Layout Manager is perfect. I've been cursing the default locations for |, ~, ` etc in the standard keyboard layout for ages. Problem solved. Thanks for the tip!
