Created a NetBoot set using macOS 10.12.4 (and also 10.12.1) and it went just fine. Started up the NetBoot service and distributed the NetBoot image. Went to a new machine, started it up, and in Startup Disk I saw the NetBoot network disk. Rebooted and holding down alt key, selected the NetBoot image and booted. Well, so far everything worked out as expected . But, in the end of the boot a Kernel Panic occurs. Now, I've tried to test this in different SCCM installations, with virtual and physical clients, but I'll get the same result. Also, I've created the NetBoot set on different machines. But I will always get a Kernel Panic. How come?
Problem solved! Took a brand new computer, updated to 10.12.4, created the NetBoot image, and it worked.
Hi Mikael, Glad to hear it! Apple has a checklist for boot images - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202061. Look at "Before you begin" section.
