Keeping activated copy of Windows

    I've been installing windows xp, activating it, then backing up the VM to disk...

    Does Parallels Tools need to be installed for network connectivity ? As I don't really want to backup a VM. only to find if I do reinstall Leopard a new version of PD is available. and will need to re-install PT.

    Otherwise, I guess the only way round is just activate by phone.

    No, for Windows XP. Parallels Tools installation are not necessary to get network connection
