Before the reinstall, when I was in Parallels and XP, I could adjust the window size of the whole thing by dragging the lower right corner. The windows desktop would re-adjust and all is well. Now, after the reinstall, the screen res does not adjust, and when I go into full-screen mode, everything is blurry. I have the latest updated versions, as I did before. What happened? Anyone know? I like to move the window smaller to the left so I can drag and drop stuff to my desktop OSX. HELP!
I'll answer myself. I un-installed Tools, and re-installed Tools, and all is fine. There are about 12 questions like mine when I did a search, and most were unanswered after months, and only one had a response from someone saying to do the re-install. Sure would have been easier if there were answers to those earlier questions! Bye.
The history here includes a lot of things that are no longer of value because of all the beta and RC code and experiences. However - it has been mentioned time and again that Parallels Tools need to be properly installed and for some reason this is not always as easy as it should be. With any 'integration features' that are not part of OS X nor Windows, Parallels Tools is the glue so always suspect it first.
Apparently so. I did a fresh Parallels install, a brand new XP, then simply went to the menu and hit "install parallel tools"...couldn't be more simple or straightforward. I couldn't imagine how the install could possibly be screwed up. But, apparently it was. thanks.
