    When I start a Java program in Windows XP, for example JEdit or the Java control panel, I only see an empty frame. If no program is actually visible, the desktop seems to shine through, otherwise the other applications. The same holds for when moving other program windows over the Java one, i.e. I see parts of the other program.

    I've seen that there were at least two posts in this forum regarding this phenomenon ("Java Problems with Parallels 3.0" and "Blank java applications."), but all the tricks mentioned there don't help me:
    * deactivating DirectX in the VM configuration
    * adding "-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false" in the JEdit command line
    * changing the VM window site
    * reducing the amount of hardware accelation in the display settings and then setting them back

    Similar to the behaviour mentioned in the above threads the Java programs don't hang and react to window close events, but just don't display anything.

    Can someone tell me whether (how) I can fix that?

    My configuration:
    * Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5160 (but I have seen this behaviour AFAIR in all 3.0 builds)
    * Windows XP installed via Bootcamp, patched with all security updates
    * Java 1.6.0 Update 2
    * MacBook Pro (Core Duo) with 2GB RAM

    Regards
