Does anyone have any idea why my recent installation of iTunes is telling me everytime I launch the program that my library cannot be saved because I do not have the roper access privileges (even though I am logged in as Administrator? Initially upon installation, I launched iTunes and checked the preference settings to configure everything, and I noticed that there was nothing at all filled in in the Advanced>General section where its suppose4d to list the location of the iTunes Music, so I browsed for and created a music folder location at the following path: Administrator>Music>iTunes>iTunes Music (not in my Mac's Home folder, but in the Parallels Desktop User Folder location instead.... I am using a MacPro running Leopard 10.5.2 and using Parallels Desktop 3.0 (latest build). Here is a screenshot of the error I am getting from iTunes: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!
Same problem I had this problem too. I updated iTunes, and now it won't even load. Message says: "the itunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation". Worked fine on Parallels 3. Any ideas? Is this a windows issue or a parallels one?
I have a feeling it has something to do with sharing user settings between mac and PC. ie the PC itunes is not happy when it tries to access Mac user music folder.... Haven't had time to check yet though....!
Confirmed that the shared music settings caused the issue for me. I opened configuration panel for virtual machine and disabled the music folder in shared user account settings. Now iTunes works on PC..
