Hallo everyone, it seems that the Italian version of Parallels Desktop (Version 2.5 Build 3186.0) fails to install Parallels Tools. After installing the Tools, Parallels reboot the VM, but as Windows starts (both Vista and XP), it mounts a virtual CD/DVD (called D: and different from the built-in CD/DVD of the Mac) with an autorun.inf file which launches again the Tools setup... Then it rebots Windows and again mounts D: and launches Tools setup... then reboot, etc... The English version seems not to have this strange beahviour. I've asked the italian support and they suggested to boot Windows in "modalità provvisoria" (F8 at startup) and cancel the installation of Tools, BUT: a) in F8 mode, the D: drive is not mounted and the setup doesn't run (of course) b) I've tried to uninstall the Tools, then realunch Windows and: the D: drive didn't mount and I was not asked to install the Tools I've reinstalled the Tools, reboot and AGAIN the D: drive mounts and asks to launch Tools setup The Italian support is now asking to European support...
