I have read the other posts regarding this issue and they didn't seem to apply to me because in the other cases the Parallels desktop session appeared to work OK ...

I received a prompt yesterday when starting Parallels that there was an update available and did I want it ... I said yes and it downloaded and "did it's thing" :) ....

I tried to start it this morning and got the prompt everyone else has been mentioning about certain kernel compoments loaded on the Mac being for another version ...

However I tried starting the session anyways and immediately noticed I had no network ....

I restarted the Mac and tried again ... same result ...

I downloaded the latest build this morning (ParallelsDesktop-parallels-en_US-4.0.3844.408728) and installed and rebooted the Mac and tried again ... same result ..

Is there something I could send in from my Mac to the group here to hopefully find a solution??? I would really rather avoid having to reinstall everything :)

next time you get the update prompt, come to this forum first and see what others say
