My config: XP SP2, Parallels 3.0 5582, problem appears under OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5.1 I use a lot of Excel VBA Add-Ins. One of these recently stopped working like before, constantly bothering me with an Excel error message "Cannot empty clipboard". Googleing this error just points to a bug with Windows Server 2003 (which I'm not running), Windows Remote Desktop tasks (which I'm not running either) and a lot of frustrated users that had to re-install Windows because of this. Now when I restore my XP system back to a point in time early December, the error is gone and everything works fine again. However, since I updated Parallels to 5582 in the meantime, Parallels Tools automatically wants to update to the latest version. And here is the problem: when I do just that, this error reappears. So I'm strongly convinced, that 5582 has caused this problem, because when I think back the only thing that I changed in my setup since the last time Excel worked fine was the update to 5582. Any chance of getting this resolved? What happens if I just deny Parallels Tools to update? I never used this anyway.
Resolved Did you ever figure this problem out or by reverting back tot he earlier version did it fix the problem? DRC
