Hi - I looked at the Help on Shared Folders & it still says that Shared Folders is only in the XP & 2003 flavors of Windows.

It is documented as existing in the User Guide for 2.2.

However, when I go to Edit my Configuration o setup shared folders it says it isn;t in this Guest OS.

I am running XP Media Center Edition on an AMD X64 processor from HP.

So, I installed a purchased copy of 2.1 then did the upgrade to 2.2 - did I do it right?

Are there any things I missed in getting Shared Folders enabled?

    Thanks for any help.

You need to setup shared folders before you start the VM. Setup is via Parallels configuration. After you have setup one or more folders, a desktop icon should appear in your guest OS.

I was in Edit Configuration without the Guest OS started (with the vista.pvs config file open) - when I click on the Shared Folders item to configure it it says "Not available in this release" or something to that affect in the area where the items to use to set them up would be displayed..

As a side note, in the Network area of Vista should I be able to see the folder(s) I have shared from the WindowsXP Host OS as well?

    Thanks.

As I have not ever installed Microsoft KDE, sorry Vista, it may well be the case that shared folders is not available for that guest yet. If that's the case, then well done for identifying it for everyone.

I would have expected that ordinary windows shares should be available, however there still remains the not ever installed it thing. So, if there are others who have installed MS KDE, sorry again, Vista, maybe they would be nice enough to provide some thoughts here.
