I'm running WinXP as a guest on my macbook running Tiger. I can connect to the internet using Firefox, and also subversion(SVN) is working fine with my company servers; however I generally use Waste, an open source encrypted network with my partners and I am not connecting. I was wondering if port 1337 was "open" to the VM to communicate through?
You can try going to www.grc.com and run shields up and see if the port is there or not, if it is not, then you have to manually open it.
Configure your Windows Firewall to have port 1337 open, perhaps? Firefox and SVN don't need ports open to work.
