We have 3 offices that we'd like to connect to share applications. The idea is to install a W2K3(2K8) server in the main office, consolidate the applications from all 3 offices to the server, then install hardware & software to allow access to the apps on the server from all 3 offices. Each office is currently running an application that the other 2 need to use but we can't allow multiple data sets; the data from all 3 offices need to be rolled up into 1 dataset for each app which each office can then access over the WAN/LAN. Each office is connected to the WAN by cable provider (RR). Exactly what 2X software would be needed to do this? I'm assuming hardware firewalls at each office (any recommendations for fast throughput?). Do we install client software on each computer in each remote office for access? I know this is like asking how high is up, but what throughput can we expect? Hope this clear. Thanks for the help.
2X App Server the right product? Forgot to mention, each office needs to print in their own office as well as into the main office. Can do?
Basically you need 2X ApplicationServer installed on your server and 2X ApplicationServer Client at the client slide. This product also gives you the functionality of printing at the remote office too. Nixu
