several of my devices arent intsalling. Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Matshita DVD-r UJ-857E ATA Device Parallels Network Adapter PCI Tool those are in the device manager and they are saying that the computer doesnt have enough resources. i dont know what to do but i cant use the dvd drive or parallel tools. and the compressor and install parallel tools dont work either. im stuck can anyone tell me what to do besides wait another 12 hours for parallels transporter to do its thing again
Could you please let me know some details: 1. You are migrating Windows Vista What Service Pack is installed? 2. During Transporter you are asking Installation DVD, is DVD with the same service Pack
i believe service pack 1. the original computer is at that. and im not quite sure about the dvd at the moment. i just know that it wont install so therefore i cant update any other drivers
I suppose here is the problem. PC is Vista SP1, dvd is w/o SP1, you need to use SP1 DVD, in order Transporter to modify files correctly on VM
Ok, let us see 1.PC is Windows Vista SP1 2. DVD you have is Vista without SP1 3. During migration Transporter asks to provide DVD, but it is older version, and thus there may be problems.
Try to use inplace migration using Windows version of Parallels Transporter http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/v3/en/GA/Parallels-Tsp-3.0.1456-Win.exe Uninstall antivirus and prepare DVD as I described
