I'm reading in the New Features section of the PDM 3.0 readme (build 4128) about the ability to mount the VM disk images as disks in Mac OS X... this would be a great feature for me, but I can't seem to get it working. I've got all the right checkboxes checked in the VM settings, but nothing is showing up in the Finder... what am I missing?
It's a MacFUSE thing... I read on another thread that Parallels was using its own version of MacFUSE for this feature. I have 0.4.0 installed separately, which I understand may be the cause of this problem. In related news, is it possible to work on the performance of the MacFUSE IO? I know its not Parallels' software per se, but improving its performance would be a huge boon to their customers... I can't be the only one.
I did an upgrade install to 3.0, and didn't check any options or anything, and yet to my surprise (as I didn't know about this feature), a new drive turned up in OSX which was my VM C drive. (Obviously only while the VM is running). Don't know if that helps you much....
