I just got WinXP up and running finally and smoothly. But how do I install a CD-ROM software app. I have a huge project due and finance software only works on PC, but when I stick it in it doesn't install?
Once you have inserted the CD/ROM make sure you use the Parallel menu to select the Devices CD/DVD-Rom, then choose the option "Default CD/DVD-rom" This should enable the cd/dvd to be seen in the windows session. Then you can click on my computer and I'm guessing your drive D: which should be the CD.
Well I did that in the menu, but still no CD recognized in the D drive? I made sure "CD/DVD-ROM Options is clicked to use Defualt CD/DVD-ROM
Can you mount the CD-ROM on the Mac, can you see it there? If you really cannot access it from the cdrom, try to copy the content on your MAC, then activate Global Share on your Parallel session and try to install it from the Mac directly.
