hello, I have a problem with internetconnections. how ist the correctly configuration? sorry for my bad English. i have xp primary OS ans guest OS is win2000 thx all for help
Hello, Normally, if you choose "Bridged" type of network connection for the VM and your local network has a DHCP server available, there is no need to additionally configure the VM. Please give us more details. What are exact symptoms of the problem?
I do not use DHCP have windows xp pro. IP address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.40 Subnetzmaske.. . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 standard gateway. . . . . . . . . : have Parallels installed and after guidance furnished. but I cannot connection thanks
When using a fixed IP address, you must specify a gateway address to use the internet. This should be the same as the host gateway. If your host OS is using DHCP to connect to the internet, you will have to use your modem/router gateway address (if you have one), or do internet connection sharing on your host.
Network problems I have DCHP enabled on my macbook pro DHCP address 192.168.1.113 router 192.168.1.1 subnetmask 255.255.255.0 the parallels xp machine doesn't get a dhcp address. I checked the configuration and I did select bridget networking as the networking option. What can I do to make it work. I also attempted to assign a static ip to network as 192.168.113 router 192.168.1.1 and subnetmask 255.255.255.0 but it wouldn't see the router (i.e when i would ping 192.168.1.1) no results! Please help, Thanks, Gary
Gary, having the same problem as you ... Gary, I have the same problem as you except that the Host OS in my case is MacOS. Did you get your problem resolved? If you did, could you please let me know what you did to resolve it? Thanks!
