I'm trying to get my iMac, Parallels, and Win XP to work together to get me on the internet. I know this question has been asked many times before but nothing I've read has helped me. I have a cable modem and no router. Cable Vision is my provider. My iMac connects fine but I can't get Win XP to do the same. What do I need to do, step by step, to get OS X and XP to work together? Thanks.

    Nothing.
If OSX is getting online just fine, then a default Parallels install of XP takes nothing special. "Parallels networking" just piggy-backs on the current OSX connection.

Trash the install and start over.

Btw, you really SHOULD have a router. Without one, you are putting that XP machine out there on the net wide open - if you where in my neigorhood - I'd know about it. ;)

Well thanks for the reply, but I won't be reinstalling. It's working fine for what I want it to do, but I'd still like the internet to work. I'm just happy I did it and I can print. I think my settings are messed up. What I'd like is clear directions for setting up OS X, Parallels, and XP for the internet.
