Would it be possible to simply purchase an external hard drive and run parallels off of that instead of worrying about resizing the HD? I don't believe that I am computer savvy enough to change the size of the HD. I've looked at the various threads and it seems well over my head.

    Thanks.

When you install Parallels, at the bit where it asks for a location to put the virtual hard disk, just point it to the external drive.

I've already installed. Is there somewhere I can go to re-point to an external drive?

Yes there is a way, but you would still have to resize the virtual hard disk(.hdd file).

Go to you Users/Library Folder and copy the Parallels folder where you want it. Open Parallels...make sure it is "stopped" click on "hard disk 1" or whichever if you have more than one...where it say use image file, just point to where you put it. There you go. Works for me.
