    Hi,
I bought a retina display macbook pro couple of months ago. I want to use parallels and run windows 8 as well. I am going to buy windows 8 tomorrow from the store. However I can't wrap my head around the installation. I can't use the cd because I don't have a driver. Is there a link to download windows 8? if there is can someone link it because I have been looking for over 20 minutes with no result. The link must download an iso file as well I think. I found something during my search but it was .exe.
Also I want to ask can I purchase a digital copy of parallels (the students version)?

    Thank you if advance!

    Hi TsvetanD,

Yes! You can purchase Parallels Desktop 9 Student edition from this link http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/studentedition/

Windows 8/8.1 installation file with an '.exe' extension can only be used to upgrade an existing Windows Virtual Machine. If you are performing a new Windows install, to create a new Windows Virtual Machine, the .exe installation file will not work.

Please contact Microsoft Authorized OEM Distributors in order to request either Windows 8.iso installation image or physical DVD from the link given :

    http://www.microsoft.com/OEM/en/Pages/distributors.aspx#fbid=KzqoScW8kFA

To install Windows 8 using ISO image, Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you for your reply!
When I click on the link you send me for downloading parallels I was redirected to some other website and it said "No matching products are currently available.". So this might be a mistake. But I can buy the program from a retail store and than just download the trail version and input the key.

About the windows. I read on that I can either have the .iso file DVD or usb. If the file is on usb or DVD can it be in .exe file? (I read this on the website you gave in your reply)
If I can you use the exe file from a memory stick, do you know if I can use another computer with a CD drive to copy the informations from the CD and paste it on a memory stick which I can than use to install windows?

    Thanks
