I recently replaced my CD drive in my powerbook with a 1TB HDD. I thought installing Windows 7 on that drive with bootcamp would be a breeze, but it's been a real challenge. I found this site that had a guide on how to start the Windows 7 install via Parallels and then finish it off in bootcamp.

I'm having a problem getting my macbook to recognize the bootcamp drive after I replace the real MBR on the disk with the MBR that was taken from the Parallels HDD. When I reboot the computer and hold down option, I only see the option to boot into Macintosh HD.

Anyone have any ideas? I want to replace the MBR on the physical disk with the MBR from the parallels disk so that I can boot directly into Windows 7 and finish the installation.

Thanks in advance for any help. This is first experience with Parallels and it rocks so far. Way better than VirtualBox.
