Hi, Just thought I would donate my experiences with installing windows 2008 in a PD4 VM. I am running this on a Macbook with 3GB RAM (even though it is one of the ones that are rated only to 2GB). I have OS X 10.4.11 and was part of the parallels 3 and 4 beta testing so have had all the interim versions installed. Things I have found: * the 64 bit version works ! however with only ~1.5 GB RAM available for the VM it isn't necessary for me. * I had an issue with Outlook losing contact with my PST file which resides in the Documents\... where it would lose the pst file and complain that there were registry issues. My method that worked for a stable install was: - Not have the User context shared between the Guest and host (might revisit this but I am OK without) - install the OS and all updates - install Office 2007 (but not SP1) and set up a new Outlook profile and data file in C: - when updates are downloaded (including Office 2007 sp1) install - install Project Professional and Visio Pro 2007 - wait for their updates too. this seems to be OK except for the change to Glacier speed in Coherence when not using it (for the time for me to browse these fora and type this message). Now I shall go and shutdown the VM and get control again. Have a great Christmas. -
