Hi Everyone. Up until last August I was running Version 7 on my Mac. I closed my business down and cleaned off the Mac before selling. I didn't re-install on the MacBook Air that I bought as the disk space was too small and I didn't need to run windows at that time. I now have a 21" iMac and wish to re-install Parallels so that I can run Windows XP on it.

I have an activation key for V7 but nothing installed on the computer. As I am running Mavericks, I need V9.

How do I go about this? I don't think that I can install 7 as it maybe won't run with Mavericks so I could do with a pointer as to the best way to go forward.

BTW, I realise that I have to buy an upgrade to 9.

    Hi David,

Once you purchase Parallels Desktop 9 (upgrade license) you can install and activate it as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/116848
Parallels Desktop will ask to insert both version 9 and 7 keys.
If you don't remember your Parallels Desktop 7 key, you can retrieve it at http://kb.parallels.com/115424

    Thanks,
    Abdul
