    Hi!
I have following question: I have downloaded trial version of Parallels Workstation 2.2 (build 2204). I Installed Parallels into drive encrypted with True Crypt:
    http://www.truecrypt.org/

To explain: True Crypt allows to encrypt files, drives and partitions which when decrypted and mounted show in My Computer directory simply as another drives (letters) - which can be browsed and used afterwards just as any other drive/partition.

The goal which I am trying to achieve is (if possible) to create invisible (guest) OS (or should it be possible) invisible Parallels something which very existence on host OS would be possible to deny:
    http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/plausible-deniability.php

Because searching my computer for files and folders called Parallels (in state when encrypted drive is not mounted or decrypted) revealed number of files outside encrypted container (mostly in: All users\Start Menu\Programs\Parallels) Im guessing hiding existence of Parallels on system is most likely not possible.

However because actual Virtual Machines are still placed inside encrypted container I wonder what traces and information (if any) about existence and usage of guest OS and virtual machines could be found outside container, as well eventually what could be done to hide/obscure them?

I asked similar question on VMware forum (I downloaded trial version of VMware as well) and it appears that in case of VMware hiding Vmware, its virtual machines or guest OS natively installed on host OS would b extremely difficult:
    http://communities.vmware.com/thread/118425?tstart=0

Still (as visible from discussion) it is possible to achieve total invisibility/deniability when booting from Moa live CD:

I wonder would anything similar be also possible for Paralleles?

    Hello Rob,

You should install Parallels Workstation on the Host OS and install your Virtual Machine on an encrypted drive using True Crypt. This will let you to get the result you wish.

    Best regards,
