My macbook has preinstalled 4 GB of RAM. I recently upgraded it to 8GB. Now when I check on the Mac Side, all is recognized and installed properly, however, the Windows side with Parallels only recognizes 1GB of RAM and is slow. IS there a fix???
Hi crazybob62, You can find some tips on how to tune the virtual machine performance at http://kb.parallels.com/115645
The RAM assigned to the VM is not increased when adding more physical RAM, you have to manually set it here:
Got It!!! Thanks Going into the Configure and Increasing the RAM done it! Works tenfold better! Thanks all!
Hi crazybob62, It's great to hear that your issue has been fixed and you were able to work on it without any issues. Feel free to get back to us if you need any assistance.
Please, it's kind of upsetting the robotic nature of these 'feel good' replies, specially considering that your suggestion was completely generic and did not address the user's problem directly. It makes it seem like your suggestion helped the user in anyway, which it didn't, sorry.
