During a manual installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the cursor does not display correctly... Occasionally, on some installation attempts, the mouse cursor will display, however, if switching workspaces on Mac OS X and switching back again to the guest, the cursor will not display in the VM, even after clicking inside the VM to 'capture' the mouse cursor. However, the cursor still appears to be 'present' inside the VM, even though it is not visible since various controls in the Red Hat installer can still be selected 'blindly'.

I was able to work around this by using 'nomodeset' in the kernel parameters of the installer, however, I take it this should not be the norm.
