When installing Windows XP express installation the program hangs up while installing device drivers. I have tried various configuration options such as diabling the floppy disc drivers to no avail..I have a new MacBook Pro with 2mb of ram. What should I try?

I can assume you meant 2GB of ram :)

there are a couple things you can try

    1. Delete the current VM,
You can do this in either Users/[your user name]/documents/parallels/ or Users/[your user name]/library/parallels/ depending on what build of parallels you had when you first installed,
just delete any windows folders you find in there and that will completely remove your VM.

then open Parallels and try the install again using typical instead of Express,

If this is not successful then try

    2. Again delete the current VM
Create an image of your windows disk using Parallels Image Tool Then try to install from the ISO image. I have a step by step instructions for this if you need, just let me know if you end up needing it.
