I'm planning to purchase a new MacBook Air with a 256 SSD drive. I'm aware that I will need to install the update for Parallels to be compatible with "Lion". The problem is that I currently own a MacBook Pro with about 376 GB of data on its 500 GB HD. I need to slim down my files in order to fit essential data on the MBA. Is it possible to boot Windows XP from an external drive? If so, how do I move my existing installation from the MBP to the MBA? Thanks.
Davidto, I have the same question. I've been doing a little bit of research online as I'm trying to free up space on my exsiting MacBook Air. My one Windows 7 vm is close to 40GB. I believe you can just move the Parallels folder on to an external drive, and then re-point Parallels to that folder through the preferences. I'm about to try that just to see how it works. I'll let you know.
