    Hello everyone,

I had installed Windows XP using Parallels, and had used an expanding partition.
However my partition has grown to around 13GB, even though my windows partition is actually using only around 5GB. I tried defragmenting in Windows, using the Image tool to defragment and the compact function in parallels desktop but I get reductions of hardly 10MB.

I hope someone knows a solution to this because I am running out of disk space due to the growing parallels image :(

    Thanks,
    Mudit

yes get a firewire external HD and move some of the other files off

check you don't have any obsolete clones taking up space

modern software needs about a one third empty hard disk to work at is best

    Hi,

I understand that I need to have more disk space, but do mean to say that if I clean up disk space and then use the compact tool/ defragmenter they would work better and reduce the space used?

I have a lone winnxp image file which is around 13 GB, so I dont think any clones could be taking up any space.

    Thanks,
    Mudit
