Hi, Starting last Fall sometime all of a sudden my Parallels started making my iMac run at almost a standstill. The iMac is standard Intel with 1.5 gig memory and standard hard drive. The Parallels settings are as recommended by the tech support here. Don't know whether this is connected, but I do run a Logitech wireless keyboard and the new VX wireless mouse too. When I finally get the Mac to allow me to close Parallels, the computer does almost go back to normal speed. Also, I would swear that last Summer, the versions of Parallels that were running did not cause any slowdown problems. Thanks, Lowell
And what, exactly, does "tech support here" recommend? With 1.5 gig (not enough IMHO) giving the guest more than 512 meg (with Parallels getting 100 meg more in the preference pane) will often result in poor performance. If course if you changed something just before this started happening and can remember what it was, knowing that may let someone give you more focused help. BTW, "standard" has several definitions when applied to iMac models and hard drives.
