I installed OSX Mountain Lion today. There was a systemmessage that Parallels 6 was incompatible. I cannot start Parallels at this moment. What should I do?

Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac and Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac will not run on Mac OS X Mountain Lion, says the website. But how do I proceed from here?

    Version 7

Version 7 has an update for Mountain Lion, so the probable answer is to upgrade to version 7. My upgrade from 6 to 7 went smoothly and has been running on Lion for quite awhile, so I would not be to worried about upgrading other than the cost. I have not tried Mountain Lion on 7 yet, so I can't speak for that. I only saw the update said it supported Mountain Lion.

MichaelJones, how do you upgrade from 6 to 7? I've already downloaded Mountain Lion.

You have to buy the parallels update from their website. Be wary though, I just upgraded on my MBP (mid 2010 version) and the mouse flickers in parallels. Obviously a small issue that will hopefully be resolved soon, but it's annoying to the point that I get sick to my stomach if I use it too long.
