I don't want to create a clean install of macOS in virtual machine (I already have enough of those). I simply want to clone my existing macOS partition into Parallels, complete with all apps, prefs, documents, etc. How can I do that? It works for Windows, but I can't seem to find how to do it for macOS.
I finally got Parallels to see my Time Machine backup, but now it complains it can't restore from an APFS system. It's not an APFS system is Extended Journaled. Parallels is on v17. This should have been solved a long time ago.
Yes, I have same problem, I need to convert Macs to VMs without redoing everything, just copy/paste. Is it possible?
Hello, Unfortunately, host macOS cannot be converted into Parallels Virtual Machines. Kindly find below the Supported OS (Windows): Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 * Please refer to this link for more information: https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/resources/#movingpc Thank you.
