I installed a new version of an application. It looks like it installed the Windows dot net framework 1.x. Now when I boot to XP (SP2) on Intel Mini Tiger I get a login screen and am asked to "click" the "owner" username to get in. Before this it just booted to the desktop. Once I click, it works OK. I notice that it has a new user... ASP.Net user with limited privileges. On a stand-alone Toshiba running SP3 I installed the same software and it still boots to the desktop... there is no ASP Net user. Maybe that was corrected in SP3? Any help is appreciated. Al
Thanks for the link. What I can't figure out is WHY there is no "login" step on my Toshiba with XP SP3 and there is one with XP-SP2 via Parallels. I did the same install from the same source. Very strange... unless SP3 "fixed" this issue? Al
