    Hey all-

So I've read the manuals, and have tried mounting the ISO image to parallels, but I am simply not able to get the installation of Windows of work. To recap, I have the ISO file of Windows XP and the serial code, but do not know where to go from here to use Windows on my Macbook.

I have tried a custom set-up where I tried selecting the ISO file to mount, but nothing happened.

    Any tips?

    Thanks!!

Why don't you just use the actual install CD? It's easier than trying to use an ISO.

But, either way, if you have the 'disc' mounted (either ISO or physical CD,) when you run the Virtual Machine, it should 'boot' from the disc, and start the XP install process.

sounds to me like the iso you have isnt bootable... that'll make installing from it, difficult.

burn it to a cd and try booting a real pc using it.. if that works you probably have a setting in the Booting options of parallels set incorrectly.
