I cant download/open the file

Hi when i try to download Parallels desktop 4 for windows and linux it gives me a unknown file and i have no idea how to open it? the file is called ParallelsDesktop-4.0.6630 but its not a exe or somthing, i went from download clicked Parallels Desktop for windows and linux and then pressed download, it sent a download link to my email. if anyone could help me that would be great.
