hello, i use Standard Hosting | Linux | Shared IP in a hosting company... i have designed a web page and i have some members on it, i offer some products ( like pdf files ) to be downloaded by registered users, the problem is that all users can check the downloaded folder... so i decide to make a folder outside httpdocs folder and with php i will link registered users to that folder and other users ( not registered ) will not have access to that folder via http my question is what path should i give to my link? because i cant find a solution in that, i take from php the error that path not exists thaks a lot
accessing folder outside httpdocs folder Hi pcdoctorvirus I have exactly the same issue - very frustrating!!! been down every avenue thinking it is the scripts etc. and concluded that the issue must reside within Plesk. Have you found a workaround / solution to this? I have data that I only want accessed via a php script NOT via any web-based folder. Thanks in advance uniquechange
