    Moved from "How to"

I installed Parallels on my Mac with no problem. Using xp I wanted to use my usb zip drive but it doesn't appear. It is on my Mac hd but doesn't exist on the PC side. Does anyone know how to help?

Why, for goodness sake, would you have not posted this in the mac technical forum?

Have you tried dragging and dropping into the Windows side?

Constant has an attitude if people don't suddenly 'figure out' the dynamics of the forum. Just ignore it, people do that on every forum, and this forum has very heavy user basis. The 'How-To' is a description that throws a lot of people off, and very predictably.

As to your question... There are many ways of approaching this, the 'simplest' is to just drag and drop things from your OS X side to your Windows side.

The downside is that things get duplicated. Alternatively there are many descriptions in the Mac help forum on how to 'share' a USB drive with your Windows side so that it is available to both at the same time.

There is also a third option, and that is to eject the USB device from your Mac side and select it from Devices -> USB -> 'Your USB Device' and it should be 'captured' by the Windows side.

    Hope that all made sense.

Eru Ithildur; Thank you so much for the info. I will check out the mac forum. I'm sure one of these ideas will help.
