    Hello,

I have Parallels for Mac 7 (I'm waiting for a cheap $20 upgrade promotion to upgrade), and everything is fine except in some games like Hearts of Iron and Victoria. Note that I always use Parallels in the "Windowed mode". In those games, the screen resolution is changed by the game and I am left with scrollbars in my window, which makes playing them really, really, really annoying =(

To fix the issue I then resize the parallles window, as there is plenty of screen space left, but this causes a screen resolution change and the game then goes to a black screen and won't do anything anymore until I force kill it.

But I don't want in this case to change the resolution! =( I just want to increase my window size to get rid of the scrollbars! I searched everywhere but I cannot find how to disable temporaraly his behavior! My only idea would be to uninstall Parallel tools =( But I want to have Parallel Tools, just not this behavior in this particular game!

Any ideas how to get rid of the scrollbars without causing a screen resolution which crashes the game????

    thanks,

If Parallels Tools is installed correctly, the Windows desktop resolution should match the size of your Parallels window and there should be no scroll bars. The games are changing the resolution to be higher than the resolution of the window, causing the scroll bars to appear.

The only way to get the behavior you want that I can think of is to uninstall Parallels Tools. Or you could use a lower resolution in the games. Or you can set Parallels to Coherence or full screen.
