This is a very ignorant question coming from a new Parallels user....

I've just installed Parallels and it works fine with XP. I want to move a ton of files from my old PC to the new Parallels partition on my Mac. I've got the files on my Mac hard drive. But how on earth do I move these to the PC side of the partition? I have gone all through the user's guide and am getting no guidance on this. Is there some portal by which you can drag files from the Mac to the PC partition for use on Parallels?

Please feel free to write directly: [email protected]

    Thanks so much,
    Will

Make sure Parallels Tools is installed, first. When you start the VM again with Tools installed, you can set up as many Shared Folder as you'd like with the Mac OS. You just have to configure them in Parallels. You should be able to find Shared Folders in the documentation, and how to set them up.

Once set up, there should be a Share Parallels Folder on your XP desktop. You can also find it in My Network Places. I've set up the root directory on the Mac HD as a shared folder, and then anything in that folder is accessible in Parallels, which includes the entire Mac OS partition.
