    Hello,

I am running Parallels 3188 on a MacBook Pro. In Parallels I have installed a legit copy of Windows XP Pro.

I have been using WinXP for a week now and have installed and used many apps successfuly.

But today I put a dvd with an iso file into the drive expecting to install a new app and instead windows just opened up the dvd in Windows Explorer and showed me the iso file.

This same dvd when inserted in a windows machine boots up into the application loader.

Is there some special way of dealing with iso images in Parallels?

    Thanks

That is strange... Maybe auto-run is turned off. What happens if you try to open the .iso file?

When you have XP running in Parallels left click on the CD icon at the bottom of the Parallels window (not on the task bar in XP). You can then Choose to connect image and you will be able to tell Parallels where the .ISO image is on you Macs hard drive. I did this just today to install Fedora Core 6 and it's a 5 CD install. It may take Parallels a few seconds to connect to the .ISO but this should work for you.
