how: multiple sound channels (more than stereo)

Hope someone can help.
Running Parallels 6 on intel mac with snow leopard.
Question: how can I get more than 2 channels to show up for sound channels in audio app (Goldwave, SoundForge) in Windows 7?
Have Echo AudioFire8 multiple channel card (firewire unit with total 8 analog channels).

Currently have virtual configuration set to Default for Input/Output and Auto for channels.
On Mac the default is the AudioFire8.
